I'm a fan of Tesla (despite their horrendous business practices) and I hope they succeed, but that touchscreen has to be about the worst idea I've ever seen. Touchscreens DO NOT BELONG IN CARS!! I don't care how cool they look. If I can't feel around for the control I am wanting without taking my eyes off the road, it's wrong. Same complaint with BMW's iDrive. Whatever the hell happened to ergonomics?? A touchscreen is in no way ergonomic!

....But my heart still belongs to my FIRST car when I was 16. Brand NEW 1966 Montero RED GTO !!! Sweet memories. 389 with 4 barrel. Went away to college in it. The GOOD OLE days. Gas was 30cents. Roommates chipped in for gas. Beer was 25cents in DC with drinking age 18. I am amazed I lived thru it. Beltway was just finished and hardly any traffic after midnight. Was a great speedway to bury the needle.

dee1949, My first car was a 1964 GTO -- red, four barrel, 4-on-the-floor Hurst, 4.11 rear end, reverberator, Tiger Paws. I through treads off several tires within the first couple of months! Traded it in 1965 for a Grand Prix -- 421 ci, Tripower, etc. -- but best of all, I got the Bobcat Treatment from Dick Jesse at Royal Oak Pontiac. The car screamed!!! And, I got 7.5 mpg. Thank God gas was 25-30 cents per gallon! I, too, am amazed I lived through it.Family Room, Innuos Statement streamer (Roon Core) with Morrow Audio USB cable to McIntosh MC 2700 pre with DC2 Digital Audio Module; AQ Sky XLRs to CAT 600.2 dualmono amp, Morrow Elite Speaker Cables to NOLA Baby Grand Reference Gold 3 speakers. The good old days for sure. I lived in Potomac MD, and would make beer and cigarette runs to DC, or go drinking in Georgetown. I too am surprised I am still alive.Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable
