Good stuff. Eat it all the time, but I favor sashimi a tad more.

Meh, no news news. I'm fine with a "creative" take on the English language even though I don't support those businesses.

There is proper etiquette to follow when eating sushi -be sure to watch this very informative video before you reveal yourself as an uncouth 'gaijin'

You see the live worms that wriggle out of sushi.......you'll maybe go back using it for fishing bait, only.

You want parasites with that fish ????

Ok, the real estate sign was funny. The worm video, not so funny.
I think pork has similar worm issues.

If you cook pork till it's done you won't get trichinosis, if you eat undercooked pork and get the worms it can be very nasty. Sushi, on the other hand is a take your chance meal. I will not eat it. I don't want monsters inside me. Both of those parasite's will screw you up pretty good.

Love me some good sushi. It's not difficult to distinguish good sushi from bad sushi. If it makes you gag, it's bad. :P

If the idea of raw fish bothers you but you still want to try sushi, get some unagi or tomago. It is a common misconception that sushi = raw fish. Sushi = finger food and is meant to be eaten with your fingers (not chopsticks), but it does not need to contain raw fish, fish, or even meat for that matter. There is plenty of cooked and vegetarian sushi to choose from. Some of the tastiest to the American pallet are fried (of course), which is called tempura. Unagi is cooked eel, but IMO it is by far the tamest of the fish sushi. Tomago is sweet egg. It's like a dense omelet sweetened with sugar. It's served cold, which might be a problem for some, but it's tasty.

Animal Planet has a show called Monsters Inside me. if you can find it online and view it, they have all kinds of parasites you can get from sushi and other uncooked foods and just everyday activities. They feature real people who have had these parasite's and it can be very dangerous. Good tasting sushi can give you parasites, it just depends on if the fish has them and you eat it.

You take that risk in everything you eat though. If it's not that, then it's " eating **** leads to cancer." It can't be too bad with these guys living to be 90-100 yrs old. I think I'll keep enjoying it, the fresh Mackerel is really tasty.

I'm a Sushi/Sashimi fan. I try to enjoy it about once a month. Post 21 is hilarious. I have to show it to my wife, who also enjoys sushi, when she gets home.

Unroll it. Throw away the nasty **** rice & seaweed. Dip it in eggwash and breadcrumbs. Fry it, then serve it with lemon and tarter.

Yum. They've got conveyor belt sushi here too, it is NOTHING like that. I'm jealous. I'm heading to Warsaw next week and it looks like there are quite a few Sushi places there so I'm hoping I can get my fix 'cause the joints around here just aren't cutting it.
