Thanks for the compliments
I am hardly good at wood working
Bondo and putty does wonders -
Well the moment of truth
One speaker is done and I am going to hook it up and test it. -
Speaker up an running as we speak
Just with one hooked up it sounds great and it is not even broken in yet.
The Peerless tweeter is butter smooth
Now I need to change out the tweets in my 1B's, these make the SL2000's sound like garbage
I did read that these monitors sound great but I did not expect it to sound this good even with only one speaker, wow
Time to finish the other one now -
$15 oak stands I found on CL for my 7's

Nice work!!

I recommend changing out the resistors with Mills 12 watt. It will make a noticeable improvement in the high end and they're only $4 each.
The stands look nice!"Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer -
The monitor 7's are finished and in the house running
They sound great and the new caps are not even burned in yet.
Thanks for any advice received
Now it is time to tear into the 1B's in the background -
very nice work!
