Central NC home search advise/opinions

I had a previous thread on looking to relocate to western NC. I was down in the Franklin/Asheville area last week. I have to say that it is incredible to look at! However, I do not think I would like to navigate the insane mountains on a daily basis. Also, I did not see much work there except for road work. I have decided to start looking over towards the center of the state. I have a cousin that lives in Whispering Pines, which is near the Pinehurst area. From what I can find, the area is ideal and way more tame to live in . I am not much of a golfer, but I might have to take it up again. Any Polkies from that region?
Jeff

Look up in the RTP area. There is a lot of building going on in the area and I am sure there is a demand for your line of work.

Not too far from your search is a city called Huntersville. Lots of building going on there and it is growing like crazy.

Check out around Apex/ Holly Springs and Fuquay-Varina. They're working on the next leg of the I-540 loop, which will open up a whole mess of construction- it'll half the time to get up to Raleigh/Durham/RTP. So- plenty of work around here for awhile.
Hope you like hot, humid summers.Gallo Ref 3.1 : Bryston 4b SST : Musical fidelity CD Pre : VPI HW-19

Sorry you won't be coming over to this neck of the woods, but I understand.
I totally agree with unc2710's post. -

That or Lake Norman, both nice areas.
