Zappa Rereleases!!!

I'am not sure if The members Of Franks estate had his entire Catalouge Remastered or Rereleased. I just got back from Best Buy and they had a lot, and I mean a lot of Franks stuff, I picked up Bongo Fury, One Size Fits All, & Roxy & Elsewhere for all for $9.99 each. I could of easily spent more money, but just got off vacation. I guess I will have to start saving my pennies. Does anyone know why Best Buy of all places has such a good collection of Zappas stuff all of a sudden?

    Zappa is one of my favorites. Ill have to see if best buy has anything that I already dont own.

    I just read that the Zappa Estate, got the rights back to Franks music, and that means rereleased copies at a lower price, most all the ones I saw today were $9.99. Good news for all you Zappa fans!

    I picked up 4 of them on Amazon for $11.99 (wish I would have known sooner about Best Buy for $9.99). Anyway, I just listened to Hot Rats and there is a huge improvment with this new release. Has a nice warm analog sound (at least compared to the 1995 release).

    Willie the Pimp never sounded so good.

    Just ordered Hot Rats off of best buys web site once again $9.99. I cant beleive the amount they have on hand and the amount they have that you can pre-order. Dforeman I to will be listening to Hot Rats just like yourself in a couple of days. I also see my Zappa collection getting as big as my Neil Young collection.

    Yep just got my Hot Rats today says source is the original 1969 Analog Master, listening to it right now, the drums and bass are back to the way it was meant to be. Mr Grand you know you want it $9.99 at best buy:cheesygrin:

    I just went to Best Buy and they didnt have a thing, I came home and got on the website, I could order some pre-release stuff sep 29th. but it doesnt even say if its vinyl or cd, UHG!!

    The store here has a lot. Go to bestbuy.com Search Frank Zappa they have a couple dozen and some preorder stuff they are not releasing all 60 at once. which ones are you looking for?

    Perhaps there's hope for "We're Only In It For The Money" and "Reuben and The Jets". He messed those up as bad as can be.

    Not to get off subject, but if you haven't listen to it yet, you should pick up Dwezil's (Zappa plays Zappa) dvd. Talent did not fall far from the tree with Dwezil. He's an amazing guitar player with a fantastic band behind him. Some of Franks old band members play on the DVD such as Steve Vai, Napolean Murphy Brock and Terry Bozzio. He did a great job on all of Frank's old music and the arrangment of the songs. There is a CD version that does not include all of the music from the DVD and also a 5 disc box set that has both DVD and all of the music on (3) CD's. If you are a Zappa fan, you will be more than pleased with this release.

    Great review of the first 12 cd's. Also compares the new release's to the original cd's and 1995 rerelease's. Plus some extra's.

    As an aside, last night I listened to "Shut Up And Play Your Guitar" disc 3 through tubes. Sounded real real fine. What a band, what a guitarist. Canard du Jour was stunning.
