I don't know what do do. I already have Yamaha RX-V473, no problem, Marantz could have been better, but i want the Boston Acoustics A360 pair and i can't find something to look loke an original. Do you remember those, did you looked inside through the bassreflex vents? I took pics:

Ah gotcha. I never did get to look at a pair in person. I would imagine all the new ones would look like that. Not sure if it is a big deal. It's the sound that counts.

Right, but the sound at Boston seems to be a special one, better than many brands/models so it could sound good even at a counterfeit speaker and you don't know. It's hard to realise just using the ear.

I'd forget about A360s and try to find some earlier B.A. towers, like the A150 or A200 or A400. Those were the classic Bostons!

More recently the (VR 2. VR 3) series weren't bad, either.

Dude, I don't understand what you are saying! A little advice: "say what you mean and mean what you say". Read it out loud and see if it makes "sense" to you? Is English your first language, because that may be the problem? If it is, then just make sure you say "enough" to convey your meaning, don't assume "we know" what you mean!

As for lobbing, from the word LOB not LOBBY! See below and notice the reference to a "court" above (sports metaphor)!

    lob (lb)
    v. lobbed, lobbing, lobs
    v.tr.
To hit, throw, or propel in a high arc: lob a beach ball; lob a tennis shot over an opponent's head.
    v.intr.
    1. To hit a ball in a high arc.
    2. To move heavily or clumsily.
    n.
    1. A ball hit, thrown, or propelled in a high arc.

Was not so important what i said, i assumed it could have been a joke if not hit the true meaning of "lob", indeed i didn't know it. I like tennis, i like Ilie the most :)
    Now friends, if you like.
... i was saying that those older models only might be available second hand.

Today i got a reply from Boston Acoustics as they can check after serial number the authenticity of A360... as though serials could not be changed as to cars, i'm thinking.

We're good! But let me rephrase the above:

What I said was not that important! I assumed it could have been taken as a joke but I was off the mark on your meaning of "lobbing". Didn't know it was spelled that way. I do like tennis, though. Are we OK, now? Friends?

As to the older Bostons you suggested I was merely saying that you can only buy them "used" at this point in time.

As you know, I called Boston Acoustics and today I received a reply from them. They said they have a list of all the serial numbers for their speakers and they can check that against the A360 (serial nos.) I'm interested in. I guess B.A. assumes their serial numbers are like the VIN numbers on cars and that they can't be changed or faked.

See what a little more thought and effort does for readability?

As a curiosity, you assumed English was my first language?
...and thanks for the corrections, helps me a lot... after physics learning English i could say is another hobby of mine.

No, I'm assuming the "opposite", i.e., that English is NOT your first language. Which is OK.
