Pretty cool, but you're making me feel old remembering Carl Sagan and the boys; space education, SETI, etc.

It's returning some pretty interesting info right now, and still has ~10 years left in it. Very cool.

I hear you, I watched John Glenn blast office, orbit the earth three times and return. It was cool to watch TV at school. The early space exploration missions were HUGE news items. The three networks carried live coverage for the entire missions.

I wonder why they didn't put an Ipod on the Voyager. Oh yea, they put a gold record and turntable. The intelligent life that finds it will be rocking out with Earth sounds.

    27 hours 26 minutes 50 seconds.

... how long it takes LIGHT from the sun to reach the Voyagers.

The whole project is simply astounding. Out-freaking-standing.

    Love this stuff.

That was a great movie to me also. I don't remember if the movie had them playing that album though.
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.
