acrylic hpm 100

Newbie here hi...i've had one acrylic cab pioneer HPM -100 for yrs now.The others a reg wood veneer.Would love to find another.But i think it would be dam near impossible to find one.Just thought i'd post.Thanks.

    I remember seeing one of those in a "Best" store years ago in Baltimore. Pretty cool looking but didn't sound too good.

    Pioneer made them as demo units for retail stores to show the inside of the speaker. Weren't exactly made for sound quality.

    Looks like the adhesive used to glue the acrylic sections together on the eBay unit is breaking down. It wouldn't be all that hard to separate, polish the edges and re-glue with a better adhesive so the joints would all but invisible.

    Fill 'em up with some Owens Corning Pink insulation and they'll sound better! :razz::twisted:
