Looking for some new tunes

I dig on Coldplay, Bon Iver, Sarah McLachlan, Norah, Sigur Ros, to name a few. I like a big, open, majestic, full sound. Anybody have similar tastes that can recommend a new artist to check out that may be less popular? I feel like the library needs an update.

Not sure if you've heard the Fleet Foxes. Excellent stuff. I highly recommend them.
Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....
"Green leaves reveal the heart spoken Khatru"- Jon Anderson
"Have A Little Faith! And Everything You'll Face, Will Jump From Out Right On Into Place! Yeah! Take A Little Time! And Everything You'll Find, Will Move From Gloom Right On Into Shine!"- Arthur Lee -

Excellent recommendation. Their first self titled release and their second release "Helplessness Blues" are terrific. Their music is pure SDA magic!!
Also, the Black Keys "El Camino" is very good.Carl -
I highly recomend Ceremonials by Florence and the Machine.

Im not sure what your audio setup is but I listen to one song when I test new setups.
The song is Tears for Fears "the working hour" forget about shout and head over heels. I have it on vinyl and its the greatest song for pushing your audio rig. Another one I like to use is aphex twin selected ambient works vol II. "rhubarb" or "cliffs".
Also any steely dan vinyl. "do it again" or "deacon blues"
I would start with the working hour. all of you guys if you dont have tears for fears big chair record you need to buy it just for "the working hour" it sounds so amazing on high end setups you will cry. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOY_aqkUTxYAdcom GFP-750

Black Keys are great. Dan Auerbach from the Black Keys also came out with a single which is really good called "keep it Hid". For really good vocals and well recorded albums, I agree with Ern Dog that Barton Hollow and Melody Gardot are really excellent.Rig1 - Totem Hawks, Benchmark HDR, Parasound A21, Sonus, Samsung 52 LCD, Audioquest Type4
Rig2 - LFD LE IV Integrated, Harbeth P3ESR, Rega Dac, MF V-Link, IMAC, Audioquest Type4 -
Awesome guys. Bought a few albums here already!

If you are looking for something different with a really full sound, check out The Allman Brothers "Hittin' the Note". I borrowed a copy and it is some powerful blues and very well recorded.
Do give the Vienna Teng listed above a listen.Stan
