Placing my PSW110 Subwoofer in an entertainment cabinet?

:rolleyes: Please advise if placing the PSW-110 subwoofer in a solid wood entertaiment unit will be a good idea. Should I leave the cabinet door open when using the sub? :exclaim: My receiver uses the YPAO speaker calibrator.

    I wouldn't. Unless you have no other placement options AT ALL. It is far less than optimal for the sound, let alone the vibration it will introduce into your e.c., other components, DVDs (assuming you store them in there too like many of us do) etc. You're much better off placing it open air, in the room which it will be played in.

    Much older thread, but it's also worth noting that PSW110 is apparently not magenetically shielded.
