SDA2 Amp Advice

Howdy Folks,

First time poster and a proud new owner of a mint pair of SDA-2Bs I purchased a couple weeks back from their original owner. I bought them with intent of these speakers being the start to a dedicated 2 channel system.

They are being temporarily powered by my Pioneer 1015-TX AVR, but I can tell they are severely underpowered. My question is there such a thing as too much power? I'm currently thinking about purchasing an Emotiva XPA-2 300x2 amp as I've owned Emotiva in the past and they have a fantastic following in the home theater world. Looking for some advice because I'm a complete noob when it comes to the 2ch world.

Inputs would be my Project turntable and a DAC to access my digital music library. I'm definitely open to other suggestions, I'd prefer to purchase new and have a budget around ~$1k.
Mains: Polk Audio SDA-2Bs
Center and Surrounds: Bic Acoustech
AVR: Pioneer 1015tx
Amp: Anthem Amp 1
Turntable: Project Debut III
Inputs: Xbox 360, Samsung BDP-1000, Apple TV

Never too much power, but power isn't everything. I suggest you look for something used that actually sounds good. Too bad you didn't get here a day or two ago, there was a really nice integrated in the Flea Market.

So I've continued to do research and have a few ideas of where I might head. The Anthem MCA 20 could fit the bill as Ive heard great things about Anthem and I've conceded that I'm willing to up my budget to get these SDA's to sing. Also toying with a Mcintosh 2105 for sale at a local audio shop.

What is still running through my head is going down the tube power amp route, but is it realistically in my budget as I like to listen to music pretty loud a lot of the time? I know next to nothing about tubes nor what brands to look for and what to avoid. Heck, even where to shop for a tube amp because I haven't found a local place In Kansas City so suggested retailers would be great too.

Looking to spend ~$1500 to get this new system going in the right direction in the amp area.

Currently my only source is my Pro-ject turntable through a Wright Audio tube pre-amp I'm borrowing from a fellow forum member.
