Anybody keep their iPad plugged in while in use?

I have been using mine on battery, but I am getting tired of recharging it. When I use it to control/monitor my music server I like to have it sitting on the table with cover opened so I can see what is playing, time left, etc. But that really drains the battery. The alternative is pick it up, open the cover, check whatever, and then close the cover. That extends battery life, but is not very user friendly. Today I added an extension cord to the USB charger, and that lets me run it off AC, so I can keep the mpod program active all the time. But it looks clunky with the cable dangling from the top. Obviously, we need wireless recharging for batteries.

The Bryston doesn't display track info?

Since the Squeezebox displays everything I just leave it on. However, the software app is built so well for the Playbook that I can simply swipe once to turn on the device to view my song and swipe once from the top corner and select 'standby' to power it down. I can do this within seconds and I find I charge my Playbook every 3-6 days depending on usage.

My eyes aren't that good to read it 8 feet away. The mpad app is much nicer.
