B&K Reference 7250 (question about smaller surrrounds)

I just made a deal on this amp and am concerned that the 200 watts per channel will be too much on my polk FX300i surrounds! No worries on the RT2000i Towers, but may be too much for the little ones?? Is that something to address with speaker calibration from the Onkyo?? That or am I to keep my eyes peeled for a more powerful surround?? Can't wait for the new amp to get here. Looking forward to hearing the difference between the B&K and the HK PA 5800. The seller of the B&K said there is no comparison, so I really can't wait. The HK is cool, but no real Oomph!!

You'll be fine. Amps don't put out their full rated power at all times. Your receiver has channel levels to adjust should you find them too loud. Again, everything depends on the volume dial. If you want concert levels or above, you can still do damage to any of your speakers.HT SYSTEM-

Talk about a frigging blooper,,,my tv/stereo stand will not hold the 7250. The thing is a beast...19+" deep, and the wife says that the stand stays. You know who wins there!! Now I'm looking to hear back from a member about the HK 2.1 or get an adcom 7000 or 7500?? Man"if it's not fun, it's not worth it & remember folks, "It's All About The Music"!!
