PSW505 - Damaged power board

Within the last week an insect went into the sub and onto the power supply board, shorted parts of the circuit and damaged the board. I e mailed Polk service about a replacement power board, I was told, may cost $300 +s/h. I paid less than $300 for the unit it self, that figure does not make much senseto me, can any member advise me on how to purchase a power board for a reasonable price?
Thanks
Thanks

Welcome to Club Polk!
You can buy a new 505 from newegg for less than 300! So that's not cost effective. On sale NOW (ends Sept 3), free shipping 219!

If you're a DIY guy you can probably find a replacement plate amp at:

You'll have to match impedance, etc. And you may have to drill some new holes back there, but this should be cheaper!

Thanks,
I am looking into it.
So far Polk Support is unresponsive. Strange. Do they care about their customers or potential customers? -
I thought Polk already responded with the cost of a new power amp/power supply pcb? I've always had great experiences with polk and polk customer service. If they didn't answer all of your questions the first time I'd try giving them another call.2 Channel - Polk SDA-2BTL, Carver TFM-35, Peachtree iDAC, Qobuz streamed via Episode Lynk using bubble UPnP server
