Advice for Book Shelf Speaker for Denon AVR 1312
Dear Friends,
Please advice me to select two bookshelf speakers to use with Denon AVR 1312,Presently my plan is to use only two front speakers only, later I will upgrade. My usage 70 % movies and 30 & Music, als my room size is small 13 ft x 11 ft, I have short listed Polk Audio RTi A3 ,RTi A1, or TSi 200,
Please advice me which speaker is good for my purpose or suggest me other with in this budget.
Regards,
SAIFULLA

RTI a1 and the first thing to upgrade would be your AVR. Or maybe consider buying satellites instead of bookshelf if your keeping reciever.

Thanks for your reply.Actually I have not bought DENON 1312, it is on my plan to buy. Could you please suggest the upgrade for AVR, and what are the main draw back of Denon AVR 1312, I am a newbie in this field. Please advice me with your suggestions.

Can't really make a suggestion without a budget. Just remember the old saying '' you get what you pay for ''. Main drawback of that Denon is power and build quality or lack of. But for $100, thats what you get. If your staying in that budget. The best option for speakers i would recomend are Definitive Technology Pro Cinama 60.6 Speaker System. $250 at Amazon. Great product for the money for a 5.1 package.

I would also look at the following:
Ascend Acoustics CBM-170 SE
EMP E5Bi
RBH MC-60
Cambridge Audio S30
PSB Alpha B1
Refurb Boston Acoustics E40
If you can stretch the budget just a bit these "B-Stock" Kef Q300 would be an excellent choice. -
Welcome to Club Polk!
I agree with the members above. If you're on a budget that's tight. Find some older Rti-4s and a sub. Get yourself a warmer sounding AVR, Denon, Marantz, Harman Kardon. All of those like Polk Rti and A series speakers.
Try to find an AVR with pre-outs so you can add amplification when you "upgrade" your system in the "future"!
Look for "refurbs" to help you afford pre-outs if your budget is limited. Marantz and Denon can be found refurbed on accessories4less.com
And Harman Kardon has its own ebay site like Polk!
Good luck!
