Speakers to watch silent films??
Suggestions? I am thinking Bose all in one with bass shakers to enhance the lower end.

On a serious note. Are you looking for the projector sound and the organ reproduction? By mentioning bose I assume you are in jest but to provide a realistic silent film experience, you might have to provide the piano or the stage sound. That could be rather difficult to reproduce accurately without a ton of wattage.Too much **** to list....

I have to say (at risk of being thrown out of the forum) that older Bose stuff (80s 301 and 501 stuff) with class A amplification, ain't too shabby! Kept me in the game anyway. -

Been nice knowing you.
I would imaging if you want the full silent theater experince, you would be needing Emotiva to power such a setup.:cheesygrin:The Gear... I would use just a good pair of ultra fit ear plugs. That way you get dead silence. Really helps cancel out background noise.AVR: Onkyo Tx-NR808

If that baby went off at 5AM, I would be reluctant to throw a shoe at it. Could break a tube.

This is what I was thinking so many of the high end silent films had Wurlitzer Organ mood music scores and some of those are very good. When available modern releases of these silent films have this music recorded with them.Radio Station W7ITC -
