Dokorder seems to be a failed Japanese electronics company NOT related to Denon or the familiar Onkyo. Apparently out-of-business around 1977; and their factory purchased by Luxman
First Guess: The speaker section of some combined amp/speaker/possible cassette or reel-to-reel deck.

Hit up Ken. I have no idea WTF that is, but they're known for their Reel-to-Reels, so he might know.Gallo Ref 3.1 : Bryston 4b SST : Musical fidelity CD Pre : VPI HW-19
Gallo Ref AV, Frankengallo Ref 3, LC60i : Bryston 9b SST : Meridian 565

Dokorder = Denki Onkyo (but the word "Onkyo", I think refers in Japanese to sound, i.e., the "Onkyo" company).
Yes they made moderatel-priced, moderately-cantankerous reel to reel decks but other electronics, too.

The thing in question might be monitor speakers for an R2R deck?? The octal plug is probably the umbilicus from whence it drew its power (plugging into a socket on a tape deck, power, or pre-amp, I'd augur).
