Both claim to have 125 watts per channel, both are 5 channel amps, so checking to see what the opinions are as to which is a better (all around) choice. I'm doing one of the other here soon and moving my HK PA5800 to the bedroom, so advice I am looking for. Thanks.

I had the AV6000 which was just the 6ch version, and I thought it was very nice. The 5125 is newer, and seemingly the replacement of the av5000, and likely a bit better. I had a reference 125.2, which is probably the same thing as a 5125 only in a 2ch configuration, and i preferred it over the av6000 in SQ. If the prices are comparable, def go for the 5125.

Either way, very nice, slightly mellow amps. But I enjoyed them greatly, for the price.
