Finding a good amp for SDA 2's

Hey polkies,
So recently I've had some time to think about how to get the most out of my SDA 2's that I picked up last year (also have monitor 7's and RTi8's). Currently, I have a very pretty (can't believe I used pretty...) Onkyo A-7022 integrated amp and an Onkyo HT-R530 receiver from a theater in a box set (yuck). Fortunately, both amps seem to be able to handle pushing the speakers to pretty loud levels but I have a feeling I could stand to benefit from investing in a pre-amp and/or amp and improve in the quality department. I'm looking at a NAD 2150 amp and plan to take a leisurely drive down the good ol' Jersey Turnpike to see George's NAD 7240PE . Any advice/input would be greatly appreciated.

Got a budget wak?

Definitely trying to pick up something used and VERY easy on the wallet, say around $100 (poor grad student). I know this limits my choices, but at least I can keep my eyes open for deals here and on craigslist.

That Onkyo is a sexy piece. I lost out on one over the 4th of July holiday and was a bit pissed about it as it looks so cool. So yes, pretty is a good word to describe it "....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." Enders... yes, it is indeed quite attractive and sounds nice to boot. Sorry you lost out on obtaining one. If I move on to other pieces, I'll try to keep you mind and drop a line to a fellow polkie. I also have the matching T-4055 tuner. Gotta say though, the guy who sold me these two units last year definitely smoked around them. I think it took me a good month or two of constantly opening my windows and using canned air to get rid of it. But it was worth it
