After buying our rega TT and having allen at audio alternatives in atlanta set it up(the rubber gasket and preset antiskate on the rp1 was way off) we have been slammin our old vinyl and loving it.
I even got carried away and bought Zeps Mothership, Eagles greatest hits 180 gram and Fleetwood Macs rumours 45 rpm double album from music direct.
The eagles sounds wonderful, mothership is a little dissapointing, but at least i have most of their stuff on original vinyl.
The main problem, fleetwood mac would not play, it sounds as if it is riding on about an inch of dust and skips, even though it is of course new and pristine.
Thankfully music direct is giving full credit for that lp, and i have chosen Steely Dans gaucho, but i was also wanting eurythmics music on quality vinyl.
Music direct has none, was wondering which online sources you use for 180 gram, remastered foreign issue whatever.
Main thing is quality, but it would not hurt if it was a site that has promo codes or certain days where you get a percentage off.
Oh and by the way, if you want to hear the funniest and creepiest thing at once, play a 45 rpm version of gold dust woman at 33 rpm.
