Well, sometimes a product is offered on a Website that could be called a commodity; nothing unusual about it that distinguishes from a similar product. Promotional managers and marketers need to sell their product, though, and they come up with they think is a good sales gimmick.
This one is for a pen. The hook ? Designed for women.
Success of the marketing angle ? Have a look at the "Customer Reviews" which are, IMO, damning. Not with faint praise, though, but with praise that should be reserved for the Second Coming of ... uhm ..... somebody.
Pretty darn funny and very well written, by both men & women.
If you get caught chuckling at work, tell them you have something in your throat.
