    Interesting. Byrne has been doing some fascinating things over the years. If I'm not mistaken he took a recorder into a city and recorded the overall "sound" of the city. It's basic vibe, so to speak and used it. He also sends out something like a mailing list, that included some free downloads and some promotional stuff (I'm on it). And his compilation of his Brazilian series was otherworldly. Really cool stuff! As was the more recent collaboration with Fatboy Slim (and others) "Here Lies Love" (or the story of Imelda Marcos).
