1:52 am here in Japan and I've been riding this thing out all day. Talk about what seems a lifetime. Been playing Xbox most of the day, but I'm ready for this thing to pass already. The wind outside is blowing like crazy, causing me to lose power once. Everyone is hunkered down out this way, since it supposedly is the largest storm in so many yrs. Check out the sat image, this is supposedly the size of Texas at 700 miles wide.

Here's the CNN report as well.

That's a big one, stay safe. The biggest storm I suffered was in the Phillipines in the eighties. Right now Isaac is about 20 miles South of me which is where we fish for the larger fish. My directv picture is perfect, I'm grilling lobster, making southern fried halibut and drinking iced tea.

Even my thunder shy dog is having a ball with this "storm". It's all that over preparation I did, always a complete waste of time, thank goodness.

Don't go outside though if that storm hits you, keep your curiosity safe. Those Pacific storms can be really really nasty. Stay safe!

    Yeah,

I'm stuck here on the LA/MS border with Isaac bearing down. I would go home to North Ga, but I'm having some health issues that are preventing me from traveling. I'm about 30 miles from the coast, so I should be o.k as far as storm surge and that type of thing goes. I just stocked up on bottled water and can goods in case the power goes out. Hell the power goes out here all of the time when it's sunny, and usually at least once a week because a drunk driver hits a telephone pole (wish I was joking, but I'm not). The power was out here this morning. I'm pretty sure I'm going to see a power outage or two. Anyways, be safe out there in Japan and I hope everyone is going to be safe out here with Isaac also.

Hey thanks for all the well wishes and support. The damage was minimal here, though tons of rain and tornado warnings afterward. Just the norm you can expect from a storm that size with signs/trees/debris blown all over the place. Someone left a trampoline outdoors and it ended up in the top of a tree, and some of the small cars flipped over. Overall I would say the damage was rather minimal for a storm so large. Again many thanks to my extended family, I appreciate it.
