mirage om 10 and om 12s for sale

These are being offered for 400 dollars, they come with mirage center and sub that were the match when this ht was put together, i cant recall the models of those.

I have read a lot of good reviews on both, the 10s seem to be the higher model, even though the model no. is lower.

Hoping to just buy the 10s, as i dont need more ht gear.

Anybody have personal experience with these models?

Im kinda thinkin it would just be a sorta sideways move from the dcm time windows 3s i currently run, and seem to be in the age range to need new caps to be at their best. ( something i currently have some infinitys in the shop right now for)

BTW, it would be quite a drive, hes willing to meet but would still be a long drive, which for us is increasingly becoming a big deal.

Any info would be appreciated.

Probably sideways. My brother had a pair of OM-7's (the unpowered model) for 2 channel and they were very respectible, if not a little bright. But that could have been his room.

If you are looking for an HT set-up this would be a great choice for $400. If you are looking to do 2ch, I'd pass.

So the OM10's, OM12's, center and sub for $400? I'd be on that like a fat kid on a slice of cake. I would think $400 just for the 10's would be a fair deal.

thanks guys, hes offering to lower to 350, he says a guy wants to come look at them but not until next week.

Im about to try and find more info, but im on the fence, gary, i agree if i was closer, or younger, and the ride wasnt so tough anymore, i would be there right now if just to hear my first set of mirages.

If no one buys the entire ht he is selling by thurs., he will sell me the 10s for 125, thinking of maybe throwing out an offer for the 12s also, wish me luck.

got the 10s and 12s for 225, they are absolutely flawless, the piano finish and cloths are like new, and they sound fantastic.

Gonna give em a little while, but there are some other speaks in this house that are getting sold.

Gary, thanks for you encouraging me on this, its a fabulous deal on some great speaks (in my opinion)

BTW there may be some tw3s for sale soon, not gonna rush it, but these are really doing adele 21 and james mcmurtry live in aught three some serious justice.

Just a little update, lovin these guys, and guess what, the little ones, at least in our room, with our gear , beat the big boys.

They just seem to have that perfect blend between the drivers and xovers.

Its not just that the omnipolar, sound from all around seems to be more effective, but i swear there seems to be more bass, maybe its just more coherent or whatever, any of you guys who have read many of my posts knows im not very good at describing this kind of thing.

I cant stop thinkin of callin that guy up and seeing what he would take for the sub, its just an 8 inch, and im not going to use these for ht, but its just kinda naggin, thinking they made those things to blend with these speaks,hmmmm.

By the way, gotta thank gary again, his little whispers in my ear made me follow through, and im very glad i did.

On a separate but related note, i gotta sell some stuff, or trade for audio gear.

Im up here in the mountains, where its tough to sell anything used that does not do work or put food on the table.

Somebody look up my fs ads and make me an offer, im even selling the tw3s, just time to move on.
