As promised, beginning after September 20th, I will be offering up my Carver Tube amps for in-home demo. Each user will have the amps delivered and set up by me in their homes.(this way I will know who my girls are seeing behind daddy's back:mrgreen:). All that is required is that you have decent gear and speakers to put them to good use and make a fair evaluation of their performance. The demo period will be for one week. I will then come and pick them up and deliver to the next person on the list.

I ask that all interested parties post that interest here. I will pick those chosen for this demo based on length of time on the forum, their participation here and their general reputation. Remember guys, these are my babies, and I will be rather selective of who gets to take them out on a date. Distance from home will be limited to +/- 75 miles of Sherman Oaks, CA in order to make the logistics work for an afternoon. Interested parties can post interest here and pm me contact info and gear intended for use.

Those chosen to participate will be asked to post their 110% honest impressions of them here in this thread. I don't want glowing reviews if they have not earned such. I intend on building more of these someday soon and I will be greatful for any feedback that helps me improve the artform.

Thanks guys for everything....

John

    John,

Oh come on now, you just need people to burn it in for you! hahaha, I am joking. One hell of an offer man, would be very interested in how it sounds on some LSIM's. After experiencing the LSIM 705's with tubes,... my life is suck, my solid state is suck, everything is suck.

Bob and I have both have a high level of curiousity as to what these would be worth in the marketplace. I am also wanting to show my wife that the money spent on these has not been wasted and also for valuation for insurance purposes. There is a number at which I would part with these and just build another set, but I doubt they will get there.

I'm in San Diego, approx. 136 miles away.

I just recapped a pair of Monitor 5 Series II speakers and the system sounds absolutely fantastic right now. I haven't spent much time with tubes and I'd love a demo :) I can offer some professional photography/videography of your amps as well to make it worth your time and effort.

    Let me know :)
