I got a new computer and I have an iPod Slim and I want to move all the songs off it and load them into iTunes on my new computer. Anyone know how to do this?

I seem to remember an old thread about this, and someone said it was not possible since that would make it easy to get free music. On the other hand, it would seem iTunes should know you are the iPod owner, and let you sync the computer to the iPod. Good luck. Let us know how you do it.Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable

I not sure but I think this work for me, I copied the directory of the Itunes where the music was and put that in the same place on the next computer. When I sync the Ipod it worked since the music was there also. Your milage maybe different....

You can get the music off. The exact method depends on whether you have a Mac or Windows PC. I have only done it on a Mac awhile ago, but there are lots of good references on the web and some good shareware if you want to go that route.

I've done it on a Mac and it wasn't difficult, the second link posted above is the method I've used on both platform and it worked well.

I went from a five year old Mac to a two year old I-mac
The I-pod I have is a 16 gb Classic and all I did was plug it into my new I-mac and it automatically synchronized, loading all the I-pod's music and videos onto the new computer. -
Use Copy Trans. It will copy everything from the Ipod into a folder or you can back up the music library back into Itunes. Works very well.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

I've used a free program called SharePod for years.Oh, you hate your job? Why didn't you say so? There's a support
group for that. It's called EVERYBODY, and they meet at the bar.
