2 questions fellas.
1. What years were the RTi series produced and sold
2. Where can you find new speakers in this series or really good used ones?
Ebay, amazone, onecall, crutchfield... nowhere has any. Got any ideas?

I'm not talking about the RTiA stuff. They don't advertise that they sell the RTi stuff anymore on the website at any rate.

You can find some models on the polk ebay direct source, but other than that good luck... I have been trying to get my rat claws on some RTI 4 for some time now and the only place I can find them at a reasonable price is Fry's and they ant shipping....

PS take that 505 off your wish list and spend a little more on a ID sub. Had one and I am much happier now with my curent sub.

I'd take a pair of RTi or RTiA over the now discontinued LSi series. Mainly because the LSiM is sooo much better and makes the LSi a waste of time. The RTi series has always been the workhorse of the brand and standard when it comes to home theatre(Reference Theatre improved). The biggest difference between this model and the older LSi is a much smoother midrange and more laid back soundstage, otherwise, there's not much to lose sleep over.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

it depends on what you're listening to. one is designed for HT, another is for music.

It depends on what you want out of a loudspeaker and your individual tastes, the design is just a design.

I think your best bet is buying used on CL.

I recently got a pair of (purported) "open-box, brand new" Rti4's for $90. They float around, but patience is a virtue.
