I've been a Pioneer Premiere user for a long time.. finally decided to ditch it and go with a Alpine CDE-136BT to match better with my 4ch amp. it worked.. sound is so much better than my 10 yr old Pioneer HU. the features of these HU's are impressive.. I like Bluetooth, as well as the USB input for my iPhone.

so far so good.. and it makes my Polk DX speakers sound a lot better too

not a very good pic.. but you've all seen a head unit before.. lol

Nice pickup there Al. I'm a loooongtime fan of Alpine gear. Can't go wrong with them. I just switched over to Pioneer myself cause their P99 was just too beautiful to pass up.

this thing is loaded with features too... Pandora streaming audio, Blu Tooth that mates well with my iPhone, USB input that you can scroll all your music on your iphone.. it works and sounds very good with my 4ch Alpine amp.. much better than the Pioneer did.. at least in my situation it did..

Hmmmmm...... I've had an entry level Pioneer 4800 for several years now and I think it's dying because I sometimes hear static while cd's or iphone or radio. So I'm thinking about getting a new one. One that can bypass my iphone dac. These Alpine's look nice and would probably sound great. I'm still deciding between another Pio or Alp. I don't have an external amp, well I have one amp just to power the 10" JL sub. I'm using my stock speakers, which are JBL separates (tweeters and mids).
