$349 for a cd 6004 is a good price that's what the Marantz cd 5004 goes for so if you can get the cd 6004 for the price of the cd 5004 then go for that deal. I own a cd 5004 and a cd 5003 and they are nice players for the price.

$350 is a great price for the cd6004 considering it retails for $500 at most places. However, you may want to make sure that the shop is an authorized Marantz dealer, otherwise Marantz will not honor the 3 year warranty.

I would ask them again if it indeed is the CD6004 Model that you will be getting for $349.00, as they list for $499.00 if they confirm that it is the CD6004 for that price and they are a authorized Marantz dealer then you are getting a savings of $150 and one heck of a deal. What else did you order?

I didn't order anything else but the Marantz, there are other orders for other customers. I deal with them a lot
on other stuff and when i first went in to ask about the Marantz they did tell me $ 499.99 and I said that I'd have to
look around before I buy. They called me back about 20 min later and said $349.00 the best he could do.

I bought my 60" tv from them,Blue ray sysytem, car audio in the past, direct Tv and other items in past.

I'd love to have a shoot out between this Marantz and my HK HD990. Pretty much in the same price range. Main differences, the HK can also be used as a separate DAC (has coax and toslink ins), and has XLR connections as well as standard RCA, etc. I find it to be pretty reasonable for a player in that price range. Haven't heard the Marantz 600X series though--also looks very nice!
