Looking at a new cd player but do not know which to choose. This will be a b-day present to me from me ( which is
today)
I am looking at either a Marantz cd6004($349.00) or a Onkyo c-7030 ($174.00) both are below my budget off
$500.00. I can order Thurs. and have by Friday.
They are both singal tray, which I am looking for and both have didgital optic outs. I do not really need a 6 disc
or anything like that.

If you had to choose whatwould be the choice?

It depends on your other equipment (match) or price Onkyo.
Me, I just network most everything through the laptop, PS3 or main PC.
My discs usually sit, so as to not scratch them.
I have all my music on three different hard drives.
I would maybe get a Blue Ray player, because it can always pull quintuple duties.
    Happy Birthday !

If using as a transport (i.e. digitally connecting to your gear) I suggest a Oppo 93. If going analog that Marantz might top the Oppo but I dont know. The Oppo though does blu-ray and DVD too. Doesnt matter as much if your using in a dedicated 2 channel.
