Hello all, haven't posted for some time. I have a set of RTi8 speakers and the other day I noticed that one of the tweeters was not working. I took it out of the cabinet and checked it with my meter and found that it is open. I have no idea how this happened because I do not play my music load. Is this a common thing.

Thanks Harry

Not common in my experience. FYI you don't have to play speakers extremely loud to damage them, if the amplifier is driven to clipping it will ruin them quickly. Not sure if they are still under warranty but you can call Polk Customer Service for help or to buy another one if needed. Good luck.

I second the call the Polk CS they will hook you up. Oh and a Hello to Morrisburg, been there a couple times and probably will again in the future. My mother in law is burried in the cemetrey right next to the "play house".
