Replica F1 Firesuit?

I'm already in the hunt for a good Halloween costume for this year. Being an F1 fan, and especially since Ayrton Senna is a favorite driver of mine, I found this replica firesuit of his with Williams livery. The price isn't bad, but it would be coming from Hong Kong via Ebay. I've already chatted with the seller about sizing, and it would be a cool suit to have, but would I be stupid to order something like this from overseas? You have ebay and paypal protection should the worst happen, and I order audio parts and components from overseas often, but what's your take?

I saw this and thought, wow, Jesse would love this, lol. I checked through the guy's past feedback, seems he sells a ton__ of sexy lingerie to very satisfied customers. The negative feedback seem to be from those buying items other than clothes , looks like radio controlled car parts, decals and tools??? One guy who had bought a similar suit was happy with his, though he spent $199.99 on it.

    Hmmm, wonder who that was?
Did his user name start with an F, and end with a nut?

Not sure why people pick on Jesse so much, god knows I never would.
    Errrr wait?
It has become a hobby of mine, some people fish, hunt, collect beanie babies ect, I prefer to pick on Jesse!
And believe me, its a skill like anything else!

    Cool looking suit, btw.

I was over Jesse's house once and found out he always wears a suit like this for critical listening.
He said it has something to do with sound damping around his ears or something.

What do you think as he also offers a Lotus JPS livery? Better or worse than the Williams Rothmans?

I'm a bigger Lotus than Williams fan, but I agree, the Williams suit is much better.

Looks like a shorter asian man wearing it. I'd be concerned about length if depending on height of the buyer.

Placed a bid for $150 on the Williams suit; with $20 shipping, seems like a decent price if it closes at that.

I agree. I told the seller I was 6'3" and 220lbs, and he suggested an XL or XXL. Based on the sizing chart, I think the XL would be appropriate.

I have a 2x fire suit I would sell. Only wore one time and briefly at that. The race team I had worked on part time (and am still supposed to occasionaly help at times) he had watched me do the Richard Petty driving experience and gave me permission to drive one of his cars at Concord Motorsports park. I just needed a double layer suit that would pass inspection. It is red I believe. I can give more detail for any interested. I would let it go for say 75 bucks plus shipping unless local to Charlotte. I can take pics and give make and model for any interested. I wont have interent this weekend (beach), but will be back by Monday.

Never did get to drive either of his cars as his seat was too narrow for me to fit in, ha. So, I only really wore the race suit for 20 minutes while I failed to fit in his cars. I did go onto Bristol though where I once again drove a Petty car to a best time of 23.22 seconds...fun

Thanks, headed out in about an hour, back by Sunday or Monday. Here are some pics. Let me know if you need any more or if you want to me to pull the package apart and lay them out. They have only been out and on as described before, then right back away.

For Halloween on the cheap, I went and bought a white overcoat (like the doctors wear). Popped in a measure tape in my outside upper pocket, then explained my costume all night in joyfull sarcasm. I was a densologist, one who measures the density of human skulls. And of course, as I was stating this, I removed said tape measure, extended it slightly with a motion towards the inquirers head, ha. After, I returned the overcoat, and it never cost a thing eventually. That was a one time shot. I may do that again, but keep the overcoat, since, well, shoulda probably kept the first one. Thought you may enjoy the story.

They are both replica Ayrton Senna suits. The JPS is one of his earliest teams and the Rothmans is what he was wearing when he died at Imola.

I like the Rothmans as the Nacional Bank logo matches the suit.
