I have two Atrium 10 subs and 4 Sat 30 speakers outside in a pool area. Wondering what type of amp I need to push these.

Thanks

    Looking at the specs
on those speakers 83db sensitivity they will need power to drive to any volume. Are you looking to play at loud volumes (party music) or just background music or both? You could just use an avr and run the speakers ok but no real dynamics or detail. Or get a used ( fairly cheep) avr with pre outs and a multi-channel highcurrant amp and have both loud party music and clean great sounding sound at lower volumes. Again budget will determine your choices and flexability.the lesser avr and highcurrant direction will give you the convience of remotes and " features" and much better sound with less " noise" that a stright avr will give you at higher volumes.

Thanks for the imput. My budget is not a huge concern. We like to have party music as well as soft background. I'm really no electronic geek so simple is good.

If your not going to sit and listen intensely ( critical listening) and want simple pick up vertually any " name brand " reciever with a remote for convience. You will need some power for those speakers to play load say about. 150 watts or so. Denon, yamaha, marantz, pioneer or the like. I have no real favorites. Except maybe a B&k but that be more than you seem to need.ad a decemt cd player and your done.just dont put it out in the pool area keep it inside as it will not hold up outside.unless you make allowences for weather protection like a weather proof cabinet.and enjoy.
