CS350 Sonicap Upgrade

Wow, that was easy! Just one 5.8uf capacitor and some stand-offs (for the bigger Sonicap).

I didn't even disconnect the drivers. It made a nice buzzing sound when my soldering iron got close to the crossover :eek:. Anyway, put it together at lunch and it sounds pretty good. I bought the CS350 and the LS70s separately and I always thought the CS350 was a little lifeless compared to the LS70s. Not anymore! Nice for a second HT!

Does yours have a 2 ohm resistor?

No resistor in mine. How about you? The schematics don't show one.

Mine has a 2ohm resistor. It is definitely factory installed.
You are correct though it is not in the schematic.

Now you should replace the inductor for a bonafide cover upgrade.

Weird! Maybe earlier or later in the production cycle?

I'm game! Maybe I'll order one the next time I need some parts. Suggestions? The LS70s are next (weekend project).
