WHAT!

I felt funny when I opened the box, I was shocked at how big this thing was. Not nearly as stiff as I thought it would be either. I felt like I over did it, this is coming from the guy that use 12 gauge wire for all his speakers minus his surrounds lol, it's going to be for my 3805 receiver. Dang when it says "for high current applications" it means HIGH current. My guess is you could use this cable to power your house because it's ginormous lol BUT SWEET!!! HAHAHAHA!!! Can't wait to hook it up:cheesygrin:

My Signal Cable PC had much the same effect. I think you'll be amazed at the changes a good power cable can make.

Or not, because we all know cables don't matter... lol
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

I think that anything but simple, well shielded, heavy gauge copper for power cables is hogwash. You couple that with high quality termination and you have the perfect power cord. Pangea and Signal Cable both handle this, since that's has been mentioned here so far.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

What about Audioquest's $7,000 power cable made of silver? lol jk I can't argue with those statement Doro, everything I've read about Pangea's cables is all good. No need real need for anything else.

How do you know? Have you tried anything else? I started with Pangea, and was impressed with the results. I bought the Pangea because at that time I could not conceive how a power cord could make a difference. The Pangea showed me that power cords do make a difference, at least with the moderate gear I own. Later, I upgraded to Shunyata power cables, and they make Pangea seem like toys. Get used to the Pangea, and then replace it with a $125 Shunyata Venom cable, and you will be amazed at how much better it is.

The Pangea AC-9 is my favorite power cable of all time.
If you can't hear a difference with this bad boy, you can always beat folks with it...(kidding)

I haven't the foggiest and no I haven't tried anything else, I just think it's stupid to pay 7 grand for a few ounces of silver but hey for all I know it's got to be best there is. But if I ever had the money to drop on a Halcro or something in that neighborhood I'd probably try one that costs in the thousands... maybe. I considered a Shunyata but it was a little more than I planned on spending but thanks for telling me they're good:)

that'd be painful... like ouch! I believe I've at least seen a difference in the picture but I haven't cranked a good movie in so long I can't tell the difference in the sound yet.

$7K for any cable is just crazy and I'm a big fan of them personally. There's a limit to what I believe is necessary and logical upgrades in any system. I recently had the pleasure of a demo with MIT Oracle speaker cables @ $25k/pair and while they are truly awesome to hold, touch, feel and of course listen to....they did not compel me out of my current MIT Magnum's which are my bar standard at home and elsewhere. Did I enjoy them? Absolutely.

This is a crazy hobby, as is every hobby and it will have extremes at every level. If it didn't then it would cease to be fun and you wouldn't have "objectives" and motivation to seek out that last little bit.

No joke there. 7K is a lot, but I've set boundries etc. Like nothing over a $100 for a power cable and nothing over $70-$80 for a two-channel interconnect and nothing over $100 for speaker cables. I think my regulard 12 awg sound fine:) I guess one day I may buy some nice high end ones but who knows.

25K you say? that's insane, I thought Audioquests k2 terminated were bad, so did I their "volcano" terminated ones. Do you know what Volcano terminated means? I don't! were they melted to the connectors with lava?
