The last piece of my 2-channel setup for sale.
Purchased one year ago, today. Rated a 7/10 for a small scratch on the front that's not noticeable unless you're relatively close.I will take some better pictures this evening or tomorrow. Bought it completely serviced, all new power caps and other refreshments. This amp has been and is solid.
Asking $450 + Shipping
Yes the price is at the top end and that's because I'm hesitant to sell it. However, you can make me an offer if you wish, the worst I could say is no. That doesn't mean I will. But please don't insult me.
What I would prefer to happen is a trade for a solid Integrated Amp which can power my 3.1TL's nicely which I forget how they used to sound it's been so long. Unit must have a remote and not be some cheap toy. Again, don't insult me but be fair in your trade offer.
Please PM me if you have any questions or post here.
Thanks guys...

Crap, I have never seen a TFM-42. All this time I thought you had a TFM-45."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963)

I really like the LED's. Never seen the meter units.

They're the same amp, except the 45 has meters and the 42 has the LED's to indicate power delivered to speakers. Rated at 375 wpc into 8 ohms, not sure how much into 4.
Hey Drenis, where did you get yours recapped? I have one just like yours that I'm sure is due."Science is suppose to explain observations not dismiss them as impossible" - Norm on AA; 2.3TL's w/sonicaps/mills/jantzen inductors, Gimpod's boards, Lg Solen SDA inductors, RD-0198's, MW's dynamatted, Armaflex speaker gaskets, H-nuts, brass spikes, Cardas CCGR BP's, upgraded IC Cable, Black Hole Damping Sheet strips, interior of cabinets sealed with Loctite Power Grab, AI-1 interface with 1000VA A-L transformer -

I have a guy locally that works on many Carver amps and the sort. Rob Galayda (Link to another CP recommendation)
Here are some pictures I took this morning:
I'm surprised of no offers of any sort thus far... -
Bump.
Someone needs a good amp and I need a Int. Amp.
This amp will power anything I'm sure. -
Bump.
No one wants to trade or make an offer!? I thought people loved Carver's? Especially ones that have already been serviced.
375w/channel @ 8 ohms
500w/channel @ 4 ohms
Headroom to 750w/channel @ 8 ohms
1500w max power draw
Power anything.... -
Have talked with Andre many times over many months, and would put him in the "Stand up Polkie" category 100%!
Just say "eh" after every sentence (could not resist Andre )!
He has an excellent reputation here.
No brainer!

Alright I really need to move this fellas... This is the last piece from my 2-channel setup. I'll never sell the TL's but it will probably be a solid year until I ever hear them again. Someone needs to give this amp a good home.
$400 + Shipping
Thanks for looking... -
GLWTS Drenis. I am sure you already have, but I would try CanukAudioMart on this puppy. Also CarverAudio.com and TheCarverSite.com as it might get more play there since they specialize in the Carver stuff
I will be sad to see it leave though. If I had 400 dollars worth of stuff or anywhere near you would already have a PM.

It's on Canuck but not for the price here nor will I sell it there for the price I have here.

LOL, I totally understand and agree."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -
Wow, that is an absolute monster of an amp. Can you imagine running a pair of LSiM707s or RTiA9s with this thing?
-
Yes I can, Drenis did that as well ."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963)

This is sold.. locally, as of tonight.
I'm real surprised this never sold here. Not even so much as one offer... -
OK, you sold the TFM 42 three years ago (it's now 2015). Do you know if your old customer is now interested in selling it? I'm searching for one (or the TFM 45). If you happen to know if your customer is ready to part with it, or if you have another TFM 42 or 45 you are looking to part with, let me know!

The OP hasn't posted on the forum in a long time. Good luck with your search.

@audioAVfan I'd post a wanted ad at TheCarverSite, MUCH more likely to find one there......"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963)

Yeah, I shot him a PM to check up on how he was doing and he logged in to respond.
Think thats the last he's been here.
