Looking for a nice CD player to compliment my NAD C316BEE and Tsi100 setup.

Right now I'm using a Pioneer PD-M403 circa mid 90s and can't help but feel I should be listening to something with a proper DAC.

So does that reflect your budget range (200-300+)? Because those would be the players I would be looking at if that were my budget for a new player. Hard to say which is best. Each uses different DACs and has its own architecture. you'd really have to audition them. Of those that I've heard I think the Marantz is a decent player haven't heard the NAD and the Onkyo is a new unit (but the heaviest build quality of all three, even though it's the least expensive).

Have you heard any of them?

Hi cnh! To answer your question, yes I would like to stay around the $200-300 range if possible. The only player of those that I have heard is the Marantz which I thought was a very nice sounding unit, the only thing I noticed was that the "timing" of the mid-range on some songs seemed to be a little off. Although that could have just been me hearing some other piece of the setup.

...of course if money were no object, I would immediately order this: http://www.onecall.com/product/Teac/PD-H600/CD-Player/_/R-110743
