The Thiel was a bit bright for my taste when I listened to them in an untreated room. I definitely prefer the Usher Dancer Mini 2 diamond more.

Interesting. Can you give any more comparisons between the 2.4 and the MD2? I am familiar with the MD2, but not the 2.4. Thanks.

It's probably not a fair comparison because they were in different rooms and different associated electronics but I thought the Thiel had more details but also colder and thinner sound comparing to the Usher MD2.

I've decided to pass on the 2.4's... for now. I used my "would be" speaker money to pay back my savings, so now I need to save up again for the speakers.

The good part is that now I have a couple more months to research, so keep the suggestions coming!

More time with the LSiM's :p

You should try the 705's. I've heard a few Polkies describe them as the best of the new line. I know you want to try new things, just a suggestion. :)
