Offered for sale is my Wyred4Sound DAC-2, winner of the 2012 Editor's Choice from Absolute Sound. Condition is mint. Color is black.

Reason I am selling is that I've recently acquired a Marantz SA8004 sacd player, which also acts as a 24-bit DAC, so I don't need two DACs.

Everything is included that originally came with it, shipped in original foam and double boxes, the remote, cables, power cord, instruction manual, and cd are all included.

    Awesome DAC. Normally there are a bunch of people in any thread about it jumping at the chance to sing its praises. I don't think anyone looking for an end-game DAC would be disappointed.

    EXCELLENT DAC from an uncommon manufacturer when it comes to standard names and such. W4S has really made a serious name for themselves in the past 3-4 years.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    I'll also add my name to the testimonial list... I have this DAC and it will likely never leave my system... It is a steal at 1275...

    So, are you saying the sound quality of marantz dac is pretty close to W4S plus an interconnect cable?

    I wish 3 weeks ago you had this for sale so I could have saved 300$ it is a excellent dac that also can be used as a preamp! So its not only just a dac, its a preamp also. You can set each input to fixed or variable. In fixed you go to another preamp. The other way you have volume on the remote. It also with j river on my music source can upscale from regular cd 44 to 196. When I did this the highs seemed to be better.

    Anyway, anyone looking for a solid dac that you can use as a preamp as well, go for it!
