    So what are you saying?

Do you have a faulty speaker or two? If so, you've said Polk claims parts are available. So I assume they would sell you whatever you need for a repair, no?

I don't understand where you're going above. Everything seems OK!

jimsvm, you sound like C.L.: "The sky is falling!! The sky is falling!!" And in this case C.L. is not Craigslist. In the future, as now with Monitor and SDA parts, I'm sure LOTS of VM Series parts will be available for those in need.

Hey, why do you have VM30s as rears and VM20s as fronts?

It's the only way that would fit the application. Avr driving front and BOB takes care of the rest

The VM series was really neat but I think it fell short in many areas unfortunately. I was never a fan and was not well received for my reviews of them when I did product testing and evaluation for Polk. Not every speaker is going to be a winner, even with the best intentions. What they do excel in is form factor, overall aesthetics and a very nice midrange when broken in. Break-in took a long time and was the cause of more than one early criticism if you didn't give them enough time to loosen up. They often sounded just too thin and bass shy, which is a given to a point but they lacked the usual Polk punch unless you had the VM30.

Anyways, like you said, you should grab some spares but I wouldn't go freaking out just now. Spares should always be a consideration in any used or discontinued loudspeaker.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

The Polk ones? That reminds me that I have a pair out to Jstas that are actually mine, so I should get them back.
