It all depends on what your willing to pay and how hard they might be to come by in your area. I tend to agree with the statement above but there are exceptions to the rule IMO..

Are SDA's easy to come by in your area?
    Are they in mint condition?
Are they/do they have all original parts?/and are they in working order?
    Original Owner with Originial boxs?
    What is your budget?

And can you buy a better pair of speakers for the money?

It's all in what your after and I'm just giving you a few things to think about..

I have seen 1C's sell for $200 up to $500. I have also seen Original SDA SRS's sell for up to $2500 and have seen 1.2tl's sell for as low as $500 so it really depends on what one is willing to pay there is really no set price as well as one not really doing their homework on what they have or what they are worth so one can get very lucky at times..

You won't find anything else that will outperform them for that money and they aren't making anymore of them.

Dam he sold them already. Was going to buy them after work today. I was even going to pay the 600 he was asking. the speakers were in great shape only a few scratch's on the side. He said he bought them new in 1990 and had the boxes for them.
Man, they looked so good. I knew i should of bought them that day for 600, but i wasn't sure if they were worth it. Dam I'm so pissed.

seems like a good condition, but you will have to spend another $200 for new tweeters.

We'll have to agree to disagree. I think it was a great deal and it appears weirton57 realizes it was too.

$600 for studio 1c's is overpriced. You can do much better, just got to be patient.

    Me neither!
I still get all giddy when I think about that day that I talked to the owner over the phone and we setup for me to come over the next day to look and possible buy.
I could not hardly sleep that night.
When I got there, 50 miles, I saw he had a nice place and I felt comfortable going in. He had a small study up stairs where they were.
He had bought them in a estate sell and was doing that kind of thing for extra money as his wife was sick. He had some Bose 901's and since the Polks were limping with no interconnect and a dead driver he heard the Bose as sounding better thus the keeper.
So yea listening I noticed that one of the 6510's was out so he dropped to $250 when I pointed that out and showed him, and also noted that I would have to make a Pin/Blade. Still a deal at that price! That was $2500 less than I paid for my 2.3tls in 89:eek:, I think just the tax was more.
