Does anyone know where to get some?? I picked this pair up last week, ( a few problems) but overall nice shape. Missing the feet and not sure if anyone here may have some they want to get rid of, or know of a substitute part that will serve the same?? I'm not looking for free parts, so please see my post in the wanted to buy area as well. Just thought I might get some better ideas by starting a thread here as well. Thanks and also surprised that POLK does not keep these parts on hand for situations like this!! Yes, I called!!

I'm not sure if this would serve your purposes but You can buy them separately and attach them to a board and put the speakers on the board (suitably varnished, painted, etc.). These levelers are available from wood working catalogs. I put them under a stereo cabinet I built and it makes it easy to pull it out to get at the wires in the back.

You can buy cheap glides or spikes (spikes being the better choice) from places like Parts Express for your speakers. The thread is 1/4-20. Better spikes can be had from Adona or Music Direct sells some nice ones made by Track Audio.

These screw in glides are exactly what came with your speakers, http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=388&site=ROCKLER

Spikes are a thousand times better.

The RT1000i's came with fat 1" rubber feet with the 3/8" screw in post, like the 2000i I have. Hard to find if not impossible.

Can't believe polk is numb to this need!!

Polk isn't numb.....why would they carry parts to every discontinued speaker over decades ? Like trying to find a brand new door knob for a '68 camero. Thats why you have after market places, and some are even better than original issue parts on speakers.

Given Polk's propensity to use the 1/4-20 thread pattern I figured yours did too. Sorry for trying to help.

nice comparison "polk speaker...68 camero" didn't know I was dealing with 68 RT1000i towers here. When in fact in 1979 you could still buy that door knob for the 68 camero, so yeah....polk is numb to this one detail and not hating, just not appreciating!! Defend away, and I can dig that too Tony. I'm just frustrated looking for these darn things, but still digging my RT2000i's (that have the stock feet) and am hoping to get the right ones for the 1000i's. No disrespect meant.

no sorries needed here. It's all good, and like i said in the thread, hard to find if not impossible, so looking I am. I appreciate the leads and understand I may have to settle for something else!!

None taken dude.....seriously. Most speaker makers don't carry parts too long after a speaker is discontinued. They basically carry whatever inventory is left over until it's gone. When buying older speakers, this is the tradeoff but there are plenty of aftermarket places to buy almost anything. If your speakers are on carpet, spikes is preferred anyway. Had these speakers myself and the rubber feet were not my preference. Just my .02 is all.

Thanks Tony. I'll probably do that.
