This is the somewhat rare Technics Proline SU8080 (72 watt per channel into 8 ohms and 90 into 4 ohms) integrated amp and matching ST 8080 tuner. These were made from aound 1978-1980. Technics highend so to speak dual mono design. Lots of good imfo on the vintageknob site. They are both in excellent condition and work perfectly. Faceplates are beautiful (some fingerprints from me) and they do not need any sevice as all control work.
Features a driect switch to bypass the tone and filters as well as a DC coupled switch, high and low filters, -20db muting, bass and treble, inputs for 2 tape decks 2 phonos, aux, tuner and preamp in main out terminals. Weighs 30lbs and is extremely wel built as is the tuner. The things you see in the A speaker terminals will be removed. They allow me to use bananas
These units werre purchased overseas so they have a switchable voltage. YOU DO NOT NEED A TRANSFORMER. It is switchable. The power cords are the pin type but have the blade adaptors. The sound is slightly warm and rather transparent. Very powerful Very impressive. Asking $299 for the ntegrated and tuner. Will sperate if neeeded. I also have the matching RS 673 deck. it is in great shape but has transport issues

Why it does have that option but heat rises -
Thought that was so the tuner warmed up quicker.
