That TFM-35 is just screaming for someone (not me though ).

I concur with you Pittdog, great gear no cash.....

Tempted on that TFM-35... when you say the volume on one channel is less, how so? There should be a trim adjustment for each channel. If there are not in sinc with each other the volume would be off for one of the channels. I would check this before selling it for less than a hundred bucks after shipping.

John the standard TFM's dont have that trim pot on the back. Only the THX models do so the TFM-35X does but not the TFM-35

John the TFM will need work and well be worth every dollar spent to get it fixed. I've been through this same thing on a number of occasions I'm betting one of the outputs are very weak and will need to be re bias'ed all that will be taken care of. If i had the cash it would already be sold and pepster would just ship straight to Roland. Dan's correct that it does not have trim pots i'm just perplexed as to why the dimmer dosen't work unless that pot is just shot. In all my TFM's i have never had one that did not dim unless the lamps were burnt out.

    Amen brotha...

I bet I know exactly what's wrong with the Carver and how to fix it. Sounds exactly like the issue I once had. :)

Just can't buy it. So sad especially at that price... ****! (Closest rendition of a word beginning with the letter 'F' I could utilize that came to mind.)

Is it an easy fix? I personally dont know.

Difference between the PM and TFM is the PM is a professional series amp which means its got a cooling fan in it. The TFM are meant for home use and as such they sound better, dont have a cooling fan and are a bit more "pretty" IMHO.
