Offers to repair RT3000p amps at a flat rate of $175. Also, other Polk amps.

    I saw this pop up on Ebay. What is the normal Polk repair cost for the amp?

    The same person has an add for rt-1000 sub amp as well ($75) with positive feedback from repairs.

    Polk repaired my RT3000 amp for <$100. That particular job was replacing the two main power caps. Seems high to me.

    That is $160 shipping included. Depending on the repair needed it might not be too bad.

    I talked to this guy a few weeks ago. He may be willing to do a group rate if there were 4 or 5. He is about 20 minutes from me.

    Apparently he is a retired EE that used to design and work on radios and other things IIRC. Nice guy, though.

    Let me know. I will probably need one repaired. (I have not taken the amp out yet, so there is a small possibility it could be a simple problem.)
