Jolida Cd player with EI tubes. This is an amzing sounding cd player. I have the original box that goes along with it. This is a silver front. I do not have a closeup pic of the player but I can take some tonight. I am asking 500$ shipped ( basically 475 + shipping) The EI tubes were bought from the tube store as a " Matched set" The tubes themselves were going for 50 each! http://thetubestore.com/12ax7.html
I will try to get pics up tonight.

Forgot to mention, mine is from before the whole issue with jolida.com and .net and the "fakes" were out so it is silk screened Jolida on the front and not the "badge"Klipsch The Nines, Audioquest Thunderbird Interconnect, Innuos Zen MK3 W4S recovery, Revolution Audio Labs USB & Ethernet, Border Patrol SE-I, Audioquest Niagara 5000 & Thunder, Cullen Crossover II PC's.

This is still here........why???Political Correctness'.........defined

Or because those who know already have one! Great price for a great player with tubes already rolled for you. What more can you ask for?

Lets see if this works.
I have been asked if this sounds soo good, why and I selling it? I picked up a w4s dac2 @ 1500. While the dac2 sounds darn good, does it beat the jolida, yes and no. It is different sounding. The jolida does some things better and the dac 2 does some things better but, I am going to be creating a flac server so it fits in perfectly with that in mind. For cd / SACD, I have been going between a denon and pioneer. Again, hard call on what one of them i am keeping for a transport, and for SACD. For SACD, the denon seems to have more bass but, the pioneer seems be a bit smoother on the highs but, a bit bass shy. I am living with both for a little bit to see what one I can live with.Klipsch The Nines, Audioquest Thunderbird Interconnect, Innuos Zen MK3 W4S recovery, Revolution Audio Labs USB & Ethernet, Border Patrol SE-I, Audioquest Niagara 5000 & Thunder, Cullen Crossover II PC's. -
I forgot to mention, if you have anyone that breaks into your house and tries to take the jolida, you can use the remote as a blunt
weapon. The fwd skip button works but its finicky on how its hit. Sometimes it works perfect, sometimes you have to push it and like move your finger around on it for it to work. Beyond that, all other functions on it are fine.Klipsch The Nines, Audioquest Thunderbird Interconnect, Innuos Zen MK3 W4S recovery, Revolution Audio Labs USB & Ethernet, Border Patrol SE-I, Audioquest Niagara 5000 & Thunder, Cullen Crossover II PC's. -

"blunt weapon"! Well you're not kidding there. I have what is probably the same remote for a different model and when I first unpacked that and held it in my hand I thought, jeesh, you could take someone out with this. It's like it was armor plated; it was almost two times heavier and larger than the remote for my Jolida amp.
To the query above. That Adcom is a changer, right? So yeah, this is a step up, of course it is also dependent on your appreciation of Tube CDPs. I have a preference for them in general and if I used a stand along DAC of any kind, I have no doubt that I would find it "necessary" to add a tube stage somewhere in that chain, regardless of how good the DAC was, but that's me?

to add onto what cnh is saying here, yes I think it is a step above. Using a dac though, the digital out on the jolida would bypass the tube output. To do somehting like what he said for using an external dac i would need to 1, get a tube external dac or 2, add a tube buffer between the dac and the preamp or between the preamp and the amp.
I can honeslty say I did try the jolida via the digital out, my denon digital out, and pioneer digital out to the dac and all 3 didnt make a noticable differece going coax out to the w4s dac2.
now on their own, using the internal dac, huge difference. Jolida has more bass than the other 2. Much wider soundstage that seems to come from everywhere.Klipsch The Nines, Audioquest Thunderbird Interconnect, Innuos Zen MK3 W4S recovery, Revolution Audio Labs USB & Ethernet, Border Patrol SE-I, Audioquest Niagara 5000 & Thunder, Cullen Crossover II PC's.
