Help setting up Mac Airport Express?

We've got an AirPort Extreme plugged into the cable modem doing main duties, and I want to add an AirPort Express in another room with a printer attached via USB to allow wireless printing to that printer. Trying to install the AirPort Utility from the included disc doesn't work, as it claims it's only compatible with "Mac OS X 10.4 or later" but the computer (MacBook Pro) has 10.7 installed on it. It also has AirPort Utility 6.1 on it, which is the newest version listed on Apple's website. However, I can't seem to get it working.
Plugging in the AirPort Express anywhere, with nothing, or ethernet, or USB cable from printer attached, results in a flashing yellow light and no recognition on the part of the MacBook Pro's AirPort Utility.
What am I missing? How am I supposed to get this setup?
Thanks!!

Did you try reseting the airport express with a paperclip in the gray button below the audio in? Just press in until the yellow light is flashing faster than before. Now it should show up as a generic airport express and you can reset the settings.
I would not worry about what is on the CD. You probably already had the newest version of airport utility on your computer if you do regular updates. -
Yes, already did the reset thing.
However, I guess it's all a moot point. Couldn't get the MacBook to recognize the AirPort Express. So I just left it for probably three hours and did other things, came back, and it did recognize it. Set it up and all just fine, working great for wireless printing now.
