This first post is going to be a LIST and I will follow up with pictures and more in depth details in the next two days...

1) Focal ( JM Lab) Electra CC 900 Center Channel -
The center is in a 7/10 condition, great overall shape but every corner has some very minor wear and some small scuffs on the bottom, it looks excellent from a distance. The grill does have some discoloration.

More importantly it sounds fantastic.

Price: $750.00 Shipped with paypal

2) Adcom GFA-535II (Refer to as Adcom A)
Works excellent, great condition an easy 8/10 - there is a small 1/4" mark on the very top faceplate but otherwise is in great shape.

Sounds excellent.

Price: $165 Shipped with paypal

3) Adcom GFA-535II (Refer to as Adcom B)
Works excellent, the case has no screws in it to hold the top on but it stays on no problem. The top also has some dents, quite a few scratches - I would give it a 5/6 out of 10. The unit works great though, no issues I can find - all of the connections are tight.

Sounds excellent.

Price: $105.00 Shipped with Paypal

4) Yamaha MX800u
Very cool amplifier in that it can drive three sets of speakers simultaneously (great for a whole house system), basically has a built in A/B/C selector switch. Sounds great, works great - excellent condition for its age. The meters do not light up, I believe the bulbs are burnt out but this does not affect performance. No notable marks or anything I can see to point out.

Sounds excellent.

Price: $380.00 Shipped with Paypal

5) Outlaw Audio 990
Excellent preamp for those who do not need HDMI, all of the latest sound fields, seems to have all of the accessories, I have the original box. I would rate this 8/10. Sounds excellent.

Price: $350.00 Shipped with Paypal

6) Pass Lab Aleph 30
Excellent condition except the anodizing has faded over time, has more of a purplish color than black. Otherwise there are only a few very small marks on the fins and the faceplate front is spotless except for a small mark on an edge. Otherwise great condition and a GREAT sounding amplifier, VERY full sounding, VERY warm, very very nice! Has original packaging.

Price: $750.00 Shipped with Paypal

All prices are Or Best-REASONABLE-Offer

Will follow up with more pics and such in the next day or so.

Thanks

It is a sweet sounding amp. The Taylos are a touch inefficient for this amp. I tell ya what if I thought I could find one I would use a pair of those Jim lab centers as mains. That thing sounds great.

    Pass Labs Aleph 30

Great overall condition, few small marks here and there but I would rate is a very conservative 7/10 - any thing you see in the fins that looks like dust is dust, I tried my best!!

Here is a great review that goes real in depth on the amplifier -

Price is $750.00 Shipped with Paypal - I have the original box and manual and will reinforce the packaging. Will entertain reasonable offers. This will go on Audiogon Tuesday night! Thanks

I asked Brock, but how would this pair with the efficiency of the 2.3TL's? Brock said as a paraphrase: try it and see. What is the efficiency of the Taylos? Thanks Trey.

I think the true question goes to...

    How loud do you listen?

I am a louder listener, I average 90-100 db continuous when I listen to music.. if you are in the 70-85db club this should do fine for you

    Adcom GFA-535II (A)

General 7/10 condition I would say, few marks here and there - see pics....

VERY* conservatively rated at a solid 65 watts per channel, stable to 4 ohms.

Will be packaged to withstand atomic bombs

$165.00 shipped with paypal, will be listed on Audiogon Tuesday night.

    Adcom GFA-535 II (B)

I would rate this a 5/10 - I will say if you ever came across another top cover and screws for it this could be a 7-8/10 amplifier. The biggest issue is the top cover has an indention across the top, it is missing screws and is pretty scratched up.

Otherwise the amplifier sounds great, works great and puts out a nice conservative 65 watts per channel.

Will be packed to survive bombs

$110.00 Shipped with paypal, will be listed on Audiogon Tuesday

    Thanks!

    Yamaha MX800u

This thing is kind of a power house...

160 Watts 8 ohm Stereo... Stable down to 2 ohm stereo or* 1 Ohm Mono! 600 Watts!

Can run up to 3 sets of speakers at once...

Like I said, a powerhouse! It is in great overall condition, few marks and such here and there but I would give it a conservative 6.5-7/10 for its age.

    Outlaw 990 -

Great multi channel preamp - link to more info - http://www.outlawaudio.com/products/990.html

Good overall condition, I would rate is a conservative 7/10 - some marks on the faceplate (see pics) but very hard to see. There is a small pin dot mark on the top.

Comes with remote, AM/FM antenna and power cable. Original box and packaging included.

Price is $320 shipped with paypal. Will be listed on Audiogon Tuesday.

    JM Lab Electra CC900

    I would rate this a 6-7/10

The bottom has some general scuffs and scratches, wont be seen once put in place. The corners have some finish missing, it is mostly small - usually on an edge or a corner but everything has nice fine, sharp edges.

INCREDIBLE sounding speaker, I was amazed at how well it sounded when I plugged it in.

Will be packed to survive bombs!

It runs my 1C's with ease. I'd caution use with SDA's if you have a very large room, vaulted ceilings, and you like high SPL in those types of areas. Otherwise, my ears have given up before the Aleph did. I have yet to get it to clip at home. We did run it right to edge running a pair of LSI 15's in combination living room dining room, and kitchen, ala very open space. It still was loud, but it was a LOT of space to fill with sound. In an average sized listening room, at an average distance beteen 85-95 dB you shouldn't have an issue.

That appears to be an earlier model (not a big deal) as the cooling fins are the older style where as the later run of Aleph 30's have the First Watt cases. These only were in production about 3 years and they are identical internally, just the cooling fins are shaped differently.

I say go for it unless you have a large room to fill with higher SPL's. They run hot an mine raises the room temp 2-3* after a couple hours of power up.

I'd agree, but the top end definition and space is excellent, in fact it can be quite startling on some material.

After closer look that is a later run model with the First Watt chassis. The discoloration is odd as I don't see many 30's with that problem. The 3's had that problem.

I say go for it. That's a good price even for a solid 7/10.

I sit 6 feet away or so in a medium sized living room and can easily hit 95dB+ peaks, no issues. But Trey is right if you like SPL, this is not an all out SPL amp.

I usually listen at about an average of 92dB I have found using an SPL meter (Thanks Rick for the meter!!). Sometimes louder, sometimes softer depending on the music. I rarely go over 100dB. The room size is 15ft. X 35ft. with a 9 ft. high ceiling. I sit at 8 ft. away from the 2.3TL's. My Aragon 8008bb also gets pretty hot as it's class A up to (I believe) 25W to 30W and class AB after that. What do you think Brock and Trey? One down side is that the Aleph 30 is not truely balanced is it? It has balanced input, but isn't truely balanced, correct? Thanks guys.

It is truly balanced. The Aleph gets hot enough after about an hour warm-up where you can't touch the fins for more than about 10 seconds w/o some pain. After the discussion here I fired up the rig last night. I haven't really had time to sit and listen all Summer. It takes about 40-60 minutes for the Aleph to warm up and after that I was grinning from ear to ear. It really has been a couple months since I listened, and absence does make the heart grow fonder.

If you aren't hating Audiogon right now you could flip this at this price pretty easily if it doesn't do it for you.

I don't know how the 2.3's and the 2's compare in efficiency, but I love the Aleph 30 powering my 2's. The room is awful - 20x30x18 and reflective cypress t/g and glass. I never really look at an spl when listening, but probably usually listen at below 92. When I do crank it for some old school funk or rock (for short periods until my wife starts to lose her mind), it performs extremely well with no sign of losing steam. Very dynamic with excellent detail.

Mine is a bit different than Trey's - mine must be the earlier model. Fins are different anyway. It does get very hot, but as H9 said, after warming up a while, it's wonderful. I think you'd be very happy with that combo and the price beats what I paid a few months ago ($850).

I honestly have no idea my db level for what I listen at. It ranges. However, I'm rarely, and I mean rarely, pushing more than 15w at most on my Carver. Might tick the next level up but most of my listening is probably done around the 90-95db range I assume and I listen 9' back in a smaller room. I usually make the 4 watts lights tick which is 8 watts so yeah... I think it would pair nice with my 3.1TL's. Damn this sale!

Trade you an amp for an amp Trey. :p I kind of wish I could try this out. Really wish the cards worked out better.
