Can you recommend a cheap ocilloscope for measuring distortion

Not sure if there is such an animal but what i'm after is scope that I can run test signals through components...mainly 2CH, and troubleshoot noise issues etc. Mainly for a hobby and i'm a big DIY'er, I have seen many scopes about 8-10 years old going for less than $100.....just not sure what to look for and what specs are the minimum for testing stereo gear, digital signals or the likes.
The sky is the limit with scopes but needless to say I want to keep it close to earth.
