SDA 2 speakers. No cable. $200. Jump on it?

Never even heard SDAs. Looks like a good deal. I can solder and all that, so making an IC seems like not too much trouble. Is this a good deal??

Comparison would be Polk Monitor 10As which I liked quite well. If they are a lot better than those then it is certainly worth it.

Which model of the SDA 2 is it? 2A, 2B? Are they the "studio" versions? Do they have a pin/blade connection or blade/blade? there may be other questions, but I cannot think of any more at this time.

Looks like blade/blade, which I believe is still available from Polk. I say go for it if they look clean.

My blade/blade 2A's have the sda connection beneath the binding post cup. I also have a wood grain vinyl wrap veneer.

With the black as described in the ad wouldn't these be sda 2B studio? The 2a with the dual round boards are much more expensive when it comes time to update ($300.00 for parts) and to my understanding eliminate any TL thoughts you might have.

Looks like SDA 2B's studios. $200 is a steal for such great speakers. If I didnt already have too many (yes I said too many) speakers I would get these and I dont live far from there.

If they're 2B's with a pin/blade, I have a pin/blade cable that I'll be listing in the FM soon enough.
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

Where is this 'a' on the back that you speak of? They look like SDA-2B Studios to me. If they have pin/blade, that cinches it.

If they are 2Bs, you can do the much prefered TL mod (as mentioned above). Either way, at that price, I'd say "Jump on it!" - especially if that little sub is thrown in. You could easily move the sub on CL for a few rubles and thereby bring the out-of-pocket expense for the SDAs down.

From the picture, they look just like my SDA-2B Studios. Mine have the blade/blade connection above the speaker wire terminals. The back of mine do not say 2B anywhere. Also, my serial number for my right speaker is R SDA 2 18973. That R can look like an A if you don't look close. Looks like you might want to "Jump on it"!

My SDA-2B's did not say "B" on them. And my SDA-1C's do not say "C".

either way, JUMP QUICK! SDA2a's/B's are the best sounding SDA's I have heard. Well worth more than that price.

No pictures with the grilles off, I don't like that. Be sure and check all of the drivers. But it looks like a good deal from here.
